Firstly, Happy New Year from all at Lets Market and we wish you all nothing but health and success and whatever your goals are.... Go get them..... YOU DO YOU!!!

Welcome to our monthly Blog/Newsletter. We will focus on Business, life, and useful tips.

To look forward, you've got to look back.... To be able to learn from your mistakes but also be proud of what you've accomplished and achieved. 2021 was a rollercoaster year for all in many ways. We've made mistakes, but learnt from these and put procedures in place to stop them happening again. We've made some great friends along the way and through it all, we managed to put on a festival, launch a fashion brand, win national accounts for a London based Recruitment firm and launch our own networking events. Not only this, but we have been working closely with a leading, sustainable Craft Brewery, securing events across the UK, taking us to London, Shaftesbury, the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Yorkshire, working with the likes of Country Living magazine and BBC Countryfile.... Wow... and breathe…what a year! (Mic drop).

If we could offer a few bits of advice to anyone it would be this.....

Start as you mean to go on

Set your goals and standards from the start. Have a PLAN in place, processes, pricing and targets. No matter how big or small, we all need to push ourselves and have something to chase down and hold our self-accountable to. Without these in place, it becomes easy to coast, easy not to push yourself and before you know it, three, four, five months have passed, and you are still in the same position.

Make Daily lists

At the end of each day, make a list for the next day. Not only does this help keep you focused throughout the next day, but it also helps you switch off that evening with the knowledge and satisfaction that you know what you have got to tackle the next day, PLUS we all know the satisfaction of crossing off a list of things that you have done.

Adapt

Business moves fast, but can also change direction at the drop of a hat. Sometimes you can be thrown a curve ball, if and when this happens, take a deep breath and remember, there is a solution to nearly every problem.... You have got this...

Have fun and learn from your mistakes (our biggest takeaway from 2021)

Do not take yourself too seriously, smile and people will smile with you, laugh and people will laugh with you, be professional but be relatable, accept you will make mistakes, but learn from them.

Contracts and Agreements

When you start to do business with someone new and you have negotiated how you will work together, put an agreement in place capturing this, pay dates, invoice dates and the amount. No matter how much you think you like them or how much they seem to like you, remember; ultimately, they are hiring you to do a job, so getting this agreement in place from the off will save any potential awkward conversations further down the line.

Work life Balance

If we are being honest, this is something we are working hard on in 2022, we got sucked into the working 16 hours a day 6/7 days a week is the only way. THIS IS NOT TRUE....... finding time for you is so important. Whatever it is that makes you happy; cooking, working out, reading, socialising,

whatever that looks like, make the time. What we have found is that when we are the best versions of ourselves, our clients get the best versions of us too, which only benefits you.

What does 2022 hold for Lets Market....

We can't wait for this year to see what 2022 brings, as we continue to work with some great people and cool companies, some exciting new brands and our own exciting projects and collaborations which we are super excited about.

We are looking forward to meeting lots of new friends and contacts along the way. Here's to 2022, we hope you all achieve your goals and dreams this year.
