Firstly guys I apologise, we set out for this to be a weekly blog, and we fell at the first hurdle. LOL. No seriously guys, the last couple of weeks have been hectic for us. As well as growing our existing clients, we are now working with two new clients, one of which we are helping launch a new business from scratch. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been super busy looking after everyone, launching new campaigns, and formulating plans of attack. So due to our workload, we are going to make this a bi-weekly blog, as we don’t feel we can commit to a weekly blog. The flip side is you don’t have to hear me chat s**t each week and I might have something more interesting to say once every two weeks.

So, this brings me into what has been helping us over the last few weeks to make sure we are at the top of our game, stay focussed and keep our creative edge.

We are all aware of how difficult it is at the moment and how easy it is to give into temptation, drink too much, eat too much food, we know it can be hard to stay motivated and keep fit and healthy. As we navigate through this difficult time, keeping positive, motivated and good mental health is more important than ever before, so we have really tried to incorporate this into our daily lives.

Something we have rediscovered with great affection that has really helped us is the non-alcoholic beers, ciders, and gins. It is absolutely amazing the selection out there now and since I tried my first non-alcoholic beer a few years ago, it has come on leaps and bounds. All my favourite beers are now in a non-alcoholic form and taste just as good as the real thing. With the added bonus……you don’t wake up with a headache, you feel fresh, it allows you to get on top of work commitments and you start the day as you mean to go on. As well as tasting good, non-alcoholic beer promotes many health benefits including post-exercise recovery, rehydrates the body, improves cardiovascular health and reduces stress and anxiety to name but a few.

Review and recommendations of my top 4 non-alcoholic drinks:

Peroni Libera – For those who want something refreshing, something tasty, this one is definitely for you. With only 60 calories per bottle, 0.0% alcohol, served in a glass, perfect to enjoy after a hard day at work.

If you are looking for a pilsner, I recommend the Pilsner Zero by the Alcohol-free brew. It is light with clear, crisp flavours, pour in a glass, close your eyes, you could be in a German beer hall. This is one of my new go to drinks.

If you want to be a bit more adventurous, I recommend the Leffe 0.0%. Packaged just like the signature Leffe bottle, this blonde non-alcoholic beer packs a punch. It has a slight sweet taste, cloudy, but keeps a good head just like the alcoholic one.

For those that like a cider, I recommend Old Mout Berries and Cherries non-alcoholic cider. Very refreshing, tastes just like the alcoholic cider, they were that nice, I had four of these the other night and half expected to wake up with a headache but then remembered they were alcohol free. It definitely has maximum taste, one for a Saturday night, served over ice with a slice of lime. Good if you want a change from beer.

We got all our drinks from Sainsbury’s, but they are available at other supermarkets.

They were all excellently priced under £5 per pack, so not only do you save your head, your wallet will thank you for it too.

I am not telling everyone to turn tee total, but since we have introduced this into our weekends and at the end of a long stressful day, we still feel that satisfaction of having a nice, cold beer. I challenge you over the next week to buy a non-alcoholic beer of your choice. If you drink both nights of the weekend, try drinking non-alcoholic drinks one of these nights. I can’t guarantee you will feel better, but trialling this myself, the outcome has been fantastic. I have more energy, more focus, I get on top of emails over the weekends and do more, I go on longer walks, I have all round more energy.

I look forward to hearing how you all get on, will catch up with you in the next couple of weeks. Let's hope there's some good news from the government in the mean time. Stay safe everyone.
